Take heed of stolen visa stickers

I think it is just right to inform our fellow "kababayans" to be more cautious in getting a Thai visa from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. There were reports that about 300 visa labels from the Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur have gone missing.

There is this Indian national who was apprehended by the police. He allegedly happens to have a stolen visa sticker number A5801985 stamped on his passport. The 44 year-old Indian man revealed he hired an Indian agent to process a visa for him in Malaysia for 7,500 baht.

On July 20 he traveled to Thailand not knowing his visa had a problem. Had he not been apprehended by the police on Wednesday he could have passed the immigration without any problem from Bangkok to Chennai, India.

But the Department of Consular Affairs already reported the missing visa labels in August - prompting officials to cancel the stickers, hence his arrest.
