Gionee Elife E6 – The New Kid on the Mobile Block

Stumbled upon an online feature about this new smartphone recently released in the market, and at first glance I thought it was the latest iPhone edition, looking classy and stylish. Being a technology enthusiast, I read further and I learned that it is one of the most talked-about electronic gadget in the mobile communications industry today.

The Gionee Elife E6, the flagship smartphone of Gionee Equipment Co. Ltd, apparently is the one of the most popular brands in China and India right now, competing with more established brands, despite being the tyro in the mobile hard court.

This Gionee smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, running on the latest Android 4.2.2 jellybean featuring 1080p full HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and a special OGS display technology, making the display its major selling point, giving t

he phone a big advantage with its vibrant colors and great viewing angles. It has a 32-gigabyte ROM and an amazing 13-megapixel back camera at rear end to boot, with option for recording videos at 1080p high resolution, and the secondary camera or front facing one has 5 MP with the same 1080p video capability (for video calls and Skyping). I might find the Gionee ELIFE E6 the perfect traveling companion during my trips and vacations.

Gionee Elife E6 comes with 2 GB RAM which is perfect when users want to install multiple applications/games running simultaneously without lagging at all.

But this phone is actually suitable for multi-tasking working executives as well, as it is packed with superior features that businessmen will find very useful.

For one, businessmen who are into mobile banking need not worry about online security threats. The NQ Mobile Security and Anti-Virus embedded on the system of the Elife E6, makes user worry-free whenever they surf the Internet, as it protects the email, social media and other web accounts of users. The Internet Protection feature also protects the smart phone from malicious websites.

It has the anti-theft feature which will alert friends of a user that another individual used the phone, hence gives users a chance to recover their smart phone should it get stolen.

Because of the screen size, reading files or using work-related applications would find it a breeze using the ELIFE E6.  Users no longer have to squint or zoom their screen often just to read their files.

What caught my attention are its Smart Gesture features.  With their phone, users can automatically pick up the phone to their ear to answer a call without having to press any key. Moreover, users may also answer or cancel the call by moving their hand up or down the sensor.

Here are the specs:
