27 Lecturers Needed At Naresuan University

Naresuan University is seeking at least 27 lecturers for the project being managed by Dr. Usa Padgate, director of Naresuan University Language Center.

Filipinos and other nationalities working particularly in Phitsanulok are flocking in the province's most prominent university trying their luck.

According to Dr. Usa the last time we talked, the lucky 27 teachers will be teaching "General Education English Courses."

Naresuan University Language Centre is looking for MANY lecturers of English.

Conditions of Employment:
- A 1-year employment contract with Naresuan University Language Centre as a lecturer of English (for General Education English courses)
- 20 hours of teaching/week in Semester 1 and Semester 2 and 15 hours/week in the Summer Term or the equivalent amount of workload
- 37,950 baht/mongh (salary:33,950 baht + accommodation 4,000 baht/month) (with 750 baht deducted from each month’s salary for social security)
- Visa and work permit fees paid for by Naresuan University while in Thailand and while working for Naresuan University
- Start date: 1 July 2014

Qualifications of Applicants:
Category A: For native speakers of English from the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa
- A Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an acknowledged academic institute
- A TEFL certification from an accredited institution
- A positive attitude towards working in the Thai contexts and a quality of a good team player
- Prior teaching experience is advantageous.

Category B: For non-native speakers of English from the Philippines, India, Sri Lanka and other countries not included in Category A
- A Master’s Degree or higher in English, English as a Second/Foreign Language, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, English and American Literature, or other related fields from an acknowledged academic institute
- A TEFL certification from an accredited institution
- A minimum TOEFL score of 580 or IELTS 6.5 or Cambridge English Placement Test (CEPT)* score of 75 (Level C1)
- A positive attitude towards working in the Thai contexts and a quality of a good team player
- Prior teaching experience is advantageous.
* The Cambridge English Placement Test (CEPT) is an online English proficiency test administered by Naresuan University Language Centre for 300 baht/test/person. The applicant can apply for the test in person at Naresuan University Language.

They already got some but they still need more. The only thing I can do to help is posting the info here. June 20th is the last day of the application but the interview will be until the 25th.

Learning a new language effortlessly
can be a unique experience for the learners, as it takes lots of patience and
hard work to get adopted with an acquired language.

Of course a good certification program should teach most or all of these topics, and it's common for schools to give an orientation before teaching starts.
