Father's request to photoshop his daughter's picture was met with touching responses

This is Sophia a brave little girl who lost her battle with cancer last week. His grieving father posted a brief request on Reddit over the weekend. He wrote:

“My daughter recently passed away after a long battle in the children's hospital. Since she was in the hospital her whole life, we never were able to get a photo without all her tubes. Can someone remove the tubes from this photo?”

Nathen Steffel's simple request was met with tremendous responses and comments, as well as beautifully photoshopped images of his daughter from Reddit community.

He then sent a brief statement to TODAY Parents about the experience.

“I didn't really want all the publicity, I just wanted a picture,” Steffel wrote in an email. “What I received was a whole lot of love and support from complete strangers.”

Here are some images of Sophia free from tubes.
