His hopes ended after he saw his passport at the airport damaged beyond recognition

Passport, from the word itself, is our pass to another country's port. Your ticket and other travel documents won't be enough for you to be allowed to travel internationally or get in to another country. As an OFW, we badly need it. Passport is our ticket to get to to another place where the grass is greener. If we lost it, it takes time to get a new one. It isn't also free.

But some people use their passports to secure loans. If you can't hand over your passport to your creditor, they won't give you money. I really find using passports as collateral, um, EXTREME! What if the creditor forgot your passport somewhere?

Therefore, all of us should keep it safe at all times; even to our kids! Take for instance the plight of this guy.
