Job Ad: Five Filipino Teachers Needed in Ubon Ratchatani Next Term
Five temple schools in Ubon Ratchatani will be needing five Filipino teachers next term to teach English to kindergarten 1 students, as part of the Democrat Party's "English for all" project which was first launched in Phitsanulok province in 2014.
Former MP for Phitsanulok Dr. Warong informed me just now through the phone that his friend Dr. Suppachai, a former MP himself, is going to recruit five Filipino teachers for next term. So, here I am, spreading the word to you guys.
I don't have much of the details but the salary is somewhere between 17,500 to 20,000. I believe it can be negotiated. If you're interested, you can contact former MP for Ubon Dr. Suppachai directly at 0874569669.
By the way, the photo of Korn above was taken from his TED X video on Youtube where Korn proposes that Thais need to change to achieve a better future. Thais rely too much on past merit and need to dare to change now, he suggests, saying Thailand lags behind other developing countries but could do better. He asks whether Thailand dares 1) to make real and sometimes difficult changes to raise Thai agriculutral productivity and increase value added, and 2) to enable every schoolchild in Thailand to speak English well. It all starts by changing the old ways of thinking and doing.
PS: Korn Chatikavanij is currently the chairman of Thailand's Democrat Party Policy Unit. He won international acclaim when he served as Thailand's finance minsiter from 2008 to 2011. His career in finance began when he started work at SG Warburg in London after he graduated from Oxford University.
