In a report from JS100, several areas in the city have been pounded with heavy rain this afternoon including Saimai, Bangsue, Chatuchak, Phaya Thai, Din Daeng, Huai Khwang, and Bangkapi districts.

"Bangkok is getting off to a bad start on the rainy season because they will be hit by a rainstorm at the very beginning. The average precipication is at 100 millimeters, but it could go up to 150 millimeters," Royon said.

Royon suggested residents get home before 6pm if they don't have any important business outside, Matichon reported.
