2 Filipino teachers may get a chance to work in the South with free tickets to the Philippines and back

I am really hoping former ASEAN secretary-general Dr. Surin Pitsuwan will hire Filipino teachers in his province of Nakorn Si Thammarat next school year. When he visited our English for All project on 2nd February 2016 and witnessed the way Filipino teachers connect to students, he invited me to visit his school in his hometown and he mentioned his interest in placing 2 Filipino teachers there who will be helping students improve their English skills.

Former ASEAN secretary-general Dr. Surin Pitsuwan, myself, and former MP for Phitsanulok Dr. Warong Dechgitvigrom

The invitation was accepted of course. I'll be traveling to Bangkok tomorrow and will stay at Amari Don Muang Hotel for a night, and will fly again the next morning together with Dr. Surin himself in Nakorn Si Thammarat. It will just be a day tour and perhaps meet his family members running the school before flying back to Don Muang and then to Phitsanulok. That's like four flights in a little over 24 hours!

But you know what? That's fine because it's an all-expense-paid trip. You don't get that everyday so I am super happy.

Anyway, if Dr. Surin indeed ask for my help in getting two teachers next school year in the south, I will let you know. I just hope it's going to be you. I don't know how much the salary will be but I'm hoping it will be good. Last I checked, he said he will offer a free flight back home every year.
